{"id":227,"date":"2018-04-12T22:09:03","date_gmt":"2018-04-12T21:09:03","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/localhost\/blog\/?p=227"},"modified":"2022-06-03T21:22:41","modified_gmt":"2022-06-03T20:22:41","slug":"internet-speed","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.davidirwin.co.uk\/index.php\/2018\/04\/12\/internet-speed\/","title":{"rendered":"Internet Speed"},"content":{"rendered":"\r\n<p>The problem with living in the back end of nowhere is the internet speed is really slow.<br \/>This is the internet speed on the 12\/04\/2018 was 3.78 mbps down.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.speedtest.net\/result\/7222602971.png\" alt=\"\" \/><\/figure>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>This was the fastest I could get from BT, but for the last 6 months, BT has been replacing the telephone poles and placing a new fiber line along our road. I kept checking the BT website to see when I could place an order, once the ordering was available I placed an advance order for Infinity 4 FTTP 330\/30, they canceled the order within 2 days, with not even a letter or email.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>After half a dozen phone calls someone phoned me back, to say that my house wasn&#8217;t suitable as it&#8217;s too far from the road for overhead cables.
